ART EDUCATION

Art education is being taught as a compulsory subject in Kendriya Vidyalayas. Here art education is being taught as an important subject for the all-round development of children. Here children can also do painting competitions, poster competitions and on the spot painting competitions on various festivals, national festivals and occasions like tourism week, vigilance awareness week, Hindi Pakhwada, Swachhata Pakhwada, National Unity Day, Kargil Vijay Diwas, Martyr’s Day. Here children display their beautiful creativity. Art education is a subject connected to all subjects, it is deeply related to subjects like science, social science and maths. Art and Craft describes a wide variety of activities involving making things with one’s own hands. Art and Craft is usually a hobby. Both, children and adults enjoy arts and crafts. Children in KVS learn skills such as wood-craft, sewing, making things with all sorts of material, etc.
